For Nov 21 I am thankful for the bayou behind my house. I’m ashamed to say, actually, I complain a lot about where I live in Texas…I let the weather effect my mood too much, and the humid and hot atmosphere in Houston is MISERABLE (it’s middle of November and still muggy and warm!!!) In my neighborhood, though, there is a long trail that runs behind some houses that follows a bayou. Despite gross weather conditions, the scenery of the bayou is really pleasant and I love walking my dog along there in the morning or riding my bike. l’m really thankful for it! Beautiful cranes are always hanging out in the water and in the summer you see turtles sunning on the rocks. I’m pretty sure there’s a family of beavers living there too!
